Parent & Child Drop-In Programs

Parent and Tot Drop-In  Parent and Tot Drop-In is an opportunity for your child’s socialization and exploration. Watch your child learn and grow. Structured play experiences, art, and circle time are all included in this program.  Snack provided.

Children Ages: Birth – 6 years

Monday 9:30-11:00 am – (Sooke – Baby/Toddler every 2nd and 4th Monday / Preschool Aged every 1st, 3rd and 5th Monday)

Tuesday 9:30-11:00 (Westshore-Wale Road)

Thursday 9:30-11:00 (Westshore – Family Resource Centre at Ruth King)

Parent Discussion Group   A facilitated group with alternating scheduled topics, guest speakers, guided child-parent activities, and open discussion opportunities. Child-minding, with early childhood development activities provided by qualified staff available when child is ”ready”.  Snack provided.

Children Ages: Birth - 6 years

Wednesday 9:30-11:00 am (Sooke) / Friday 9:30-11:oo am (Westshore-Wale Road) 

Young Parents’ Discussion Group   A group for parents under 25 years old.  Meet with other young parents and get parenting ideas from the Family Resource Program Coordinator and a Public Health Nurse.  At this group, you can find support, friends for you and your child, and enjoy a complimentary lunch.

Children Ages: Birth – 6 years

Every other Thursday 11:00 am – 1:30 pm (Sooke) 

Young Parents’ Play Group  A drop-in playgroup for Young Parents and their children.  Activities focus on health development and social time for children and parents.

Children Ages: Birth – 6 years

Every other Thursday  to group above  – 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm (Sooke) 

Playgroup for Child Care Providers   This Playgroup is a great way for daycare children to enjoy play-based activities with art/craf activities, snack time (care provider provided), and circle time.  Care Providers can connect with the CCRR Consultant to received information and ideas.
