Youth Services

Thank you to the TELUS @FriendlyFutureFoundation (Facebook: @ TELUS Future Friendly Foundation) for generously donating $10,000 to support our Youth Outreach and Navigator program. This program supports youth to navigate difficult times by helping to implement positive change for the youth and their family. We at Sooke Family Resource Society appreciate your contributions to our program, helping to create healthier and stronger communities. #FriendlyFuture

1. Youth Outreach and Navigator

This program helps youth navigate through the rough times, such as depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. A Specialized Youth Worker meets with youth to plan and implement positive changes for the youth and their family.

Our supports help you with

  • managing short term crisis situations
  • connecting to other helpful resources
  • navigating the mental health system
  • transportation, advocacy, & representation

“Thank you for everything you did for me. You supported and helped me grow into an adult. I can’t thank you enough. I have a great job now and everything is turning out exactly how I always wanted.”

– Youth Navigator Client, age 20

Our goals are

  • to help you feel better emotionally and mentally
  • to strengthen your communication skills and coping strategies
  • to support you in creating your own healthy lifestyle
  • to support you in feeling confident when accessing mental health services

We want to make support as easy and accessible to you as possible, so our hours are flexible!

Beginning in September we will be facilitating a weekly youth group to support with navigating life challenges and connecting with other youth who share similar experiences.
